Exaggerated??? Well, ok... maybe slightly. Me and Manuel are both exhausted after heavy physical work-out by the sea...
Sunday, 3rd of August 2008 Today it was quite chilly (haha, it was 21 degrees Centigrades) so the morning-walk became a jogging-round. The good thing was that Manuel seemed to appreciate it! Previoulsly he has found it boring, but now he followed me happily. It was no long round, since I am not in the best shape... After that I became restless and wanted to do something. Mikael wanted to take it easy, so me and Manuel took the car and headed north. Aproximately one hour and fifteen minutes. To "Kullaberg" which is a wonderful area with steep cliffs and woods facing the sea.
We went for a good walk and climbed steep trails covered by small rocks. I held on firmly to the rope that was anchored to poles along the path, avoiding slipping and falling into the deep gap. (People die here almost every year, but on the other hand, then they are not following the trails. ) Manuel took it very easy downwards, step by step. I am happy neither of us fell. Beneath us it was 50 meters down to the rocky beach. Upwards he made a bad choice and ended up with all four legs on a slippery stone. Fortunatelly I was behind and could support "his behind". First I kept him in harness and a rope dragging behind him, but that was a bad idea since it got stuck between the rocks. Then I let him loose, but kept the harnes on to have something to grab on to and support him if he were to slip. In the morning when leaving Malmö I had considerd wearing jeans, and not shorts, but happily I did not go for that. During the 3 hours we spent on "Kullen" it became warmer and warmer. I was also carrying a back-pack with water (for Manuel), rope, keys, and money. Then we balanced on rocks polished by the sea. Manuel (as usual) headed towards the water. It is a pity a brought the wrong camera lens. With this one I could not catch the view, since it was very magnifying. I wanted to take a picture of Manuel since he was on the top of a very very high and steep hill, and I was below, but it was impossible to catch more than the tip of the top. Next time I will bring at least two camera lenses. Before we went to the car we went to a kiosk, since I needed a drink. Manuel was given the order "stay" behind a shed (there was shade) and I went around the corner to stand in the line. When we came home, Mikael had home-made pizzas ready! Manuel got some of the (totally 30) mackerel that Mikael cought the night between Friday and Saturday when on a fishing-trip to "Fladen", a shallow area in the ocean, outside the city Varberg.
