Day-care setback
Monday, 01 March 2010 20:47

So we have started to let Kumi stay at Manuel's day-care , 2-3 times a week. We started with a few hours and have increased. We have felt that this is enough for her, since we can see it really effects her, but that it has been acceptable.

Today when Mikael was to pick her up, she was too happy (you know, not calm and cool - happy, more nervous-happy). And rushed out to make her business. I.e. she has had too high pulse to feel relaxed enough for that during the day.

So....we will need to "rewind the tape" and I will try with less hours, talk to the staff again a little bit more in detail how she is, and reacts....maybe swop kennels, and we will see. The key to Kumi is to get her pulse beating in a normal pace...when faster, she reacts all on instincts and does not really reflect on what choices to choose from. That is what Mikael noticed when picking her up, that the pulse was high again.

When she got home she behaved like a small child that is too tired. So I took her to the sofa, asked her to lie down on the side close to me. Five minutes later she was snoring. /Charlotte
